From the Director’s Chair – March 2019
This month we celebrated Harrison’s first birthday. I can’t believe how much life has changed the past year. I am absolutely besotted. But I think you all know that by now… For our social media manager, Vivian, she is just about to start that journey – her bub born a couple of weeks ahead of schedule. A massive congratulations to their family!
On the work front, March also marked the launch of a massive video campaign we have been working on the past 5 months. You may have seen a bit about it on the national and local news outlets? A little thing for Temora’s doctor attraction campaign we’ve been managing, the Great Quack Quest? If you haven’t heard about it, do yourself a favour and check out the video! You can read more about that here. Trust me, it’s a quacker!
I’ve also been posting a bit lately about some common mistakes I see with businesses… The lack of preparedness and not having some pretty basic marketing foundations put down before they embark on specific activities. If a marketing activity, whether it’s a video, social media ad or new product launch, hasn’t worked for you, you need to analyse and ask, ‘did we do the ground work? Did we prepare enough? Did it fit in with our marketing strategy? Do we even have a marketing strategy?’ Unless you have all your ducks in a row, it won’t get you the results you deserve. Read more about how we approached this with the Great Quack Quest below.
So, as we say goodbye to summer, and welcome the colours of autumn, maybe now is a good time to be asking yourself the tough questions about what you’re going to be doing differently this year?
