Do you have a field of work or study you’re passionate about? Imagine receiving an expenses-paid overseas trip to meet world leaders in your field and the doors that would fly open for you. Exciting potential, right?
Well that’s exactly what The Winston Churchill Memorial Trust provides...Late last year, Blue Clay's creative and video production team in Canberra was engaged to travel across Australia to film and interview Fellows who shared with us their stories of travel, accomplishments and dreams. Dreams that have been realised thanks to opportunities afforded through the Trust.
For those not familiar with the Churchill Trust, it was set up in 1965 after the death of Sir Winston Churchill. Its aim? To provide opportunities for Australians to conduct international research in their chosen field, that isn’t readily available here. Applicants aren’t just academics. In fact, they’re from all walks of life, with varied experiences and qualifications - from tradesman and teachers to doctors and professors. Read more about the Trust here. Or watch the sizzle reel we created which gives you a great overview!
To say these awardees are inspirational humans would be a huge understatement. With topics as wide-ranging as arts, agriculture and science, these ‘everyday Aussies’ are changing the future of this country – for the better. These promotional films (be sure to watch!) were then used to endorse the awards and encourage more people to apply. In addition to these, the Trust was given the opportunity to promote their program before national cinema showings of The Darkest Hour, starring Gary Oldman. This lead to us creating a 30 second cinema ad which you can watch here.
This was truly one of the most exciting and inspiring projects we have ever worked on. We hope you take the time to watch the films and see for yourself why we were so touched by these individuals doing GREAT things.
A word from our client...
“We consider our video project with Blue Clay a resounding success! What they have managed to produce for the Churchill Trust within extremely tight deadlines has been more than impressive, with feedback from our stakeholders and target audiences so far testament to this. We will continue to share the videos they have created for us to attract relevant applicants for the Churchill Fellowship over the coming months and foresee very positive results.”- Julia Quantrill, Marketing Manager, The Winston Churchill Memorial Trust
